This year, we’re celebrating something truly special – Trueman’s 10-year anniversary at Kitty Brown.

In fashion, a decade is a long time. Trends come and go, seasons change, and entire collections pass into history. But in that time, some things remain constant – and for us, one of those constants has been Trueman’s energy, dedication, and her incredible sense of style.

When she first joined the team ten years ago, we knew she had an eye for fashion and a flair for customer care. What we didn’t know then was just how much she would come to shape the way Kitty Brown looks, feels, and runs.

Over the last ten years, Trueman has:

• Raised two wonderful boys, balancing the joys and challenges of motherhood alongside a busy retail career.
• Opened our shoe shop, bringing her impeccable taste to every carefully chosen pair.
• Redesigned the clothing department, making it more inviting, more practical, and more inspiring for our customers.
• Introduced amazing new brands – always with her signature blend of style-consciousness and sustainability.
• Consistently 'wow's' us and our customers with her incredible artistry that she applies to every window design.
• Supported Caroline every step of the way as a true right hand, ensuring the shop runs like clockwork no matter how busy the day.

And she’s achieved all this while building a life outside of work that’s equally impressive. With her wonderful husband, Jony, she’s moved house, taken on a full renovation, and lived through the dust and disruption – all while raising her family. It’s a juggling act that takes patience, resilience, and more than a touch of humour, and Trueman has handled it all with the same calm determination she brings to Kitty Brown.

Through the chaos of renovations, school runs, seasonal stock changes, and everything in between, Trueman has been an anchor – for her family, for her colleagues, and for our customers. She has that rare ability to keep things running smoothly, no matter what’s going on in the background.

We often say she’s the glue that holds the shop together – and while we might joke about the mannequins walking out in protest if she ever left, the truth is, Kitty Brown wouldn’t be the same without her.
