Dark sunset over water and beach

Sunsets over Morecambe Bay

From Carnforth, Bolton-le-Sands, Morecambe and Heysham we are often treated to the most fabulous sunsets across the Morecambe Bay. Each one is different and each is distractingly lovely.

Glasson Dock

Glasson Dock is just south of Lancaster near the mouth of the River Lune. There are pubs and cafes to stop by and ample parking if you arrive by car. There is a footpath and cycle track that runs from Lancaster and this is a popular route from the city to the dock.

Sunderland Point

If you visit Sunderland Point in your car be careful! The road is covered by water at high tide and you could find your vehicle stranded until the water retreats.
